Kate Moross is a British illustrator and graphic designer who has worked for top brands and festivals such as Top Shop and Parklife. She is known for her unique typography and free form lettering. Her typography uses different tools and techniques ranging from gel pens to digitally crafted. It appears new and fresh each time making it more fun and eye catching.
Some of her typography appears almost retro as well keeping it well up to date. The bold colourful letters and patterns stand out in front of the block, coloured background making the different fonts funky and giving it a playful atmosphere. The font's of the different words are clear and can be easily read making it accessible to everyone. |
RESPONSES
In my responses, I first drew the outline of a glass bottle as I wanted to keep the idea of traditional milk before i experimented with different typography. I messed around with the different sizes and the position of the fonts to make everything nicely fit together. I wanted the typography to stand out and look fun and playful like Moross's and so made the fonts have bold, bright colours to highlight them in front of the block background.
I used different facts of the product to make up the space, showing off the goodness and key elements of drinking milk. I like how the final product came out and how the words all fitted together nicely, however it's hard to read and follow some of the sentences which disturbs the flow of the smooth poster.
